Live-Work Development

This project was the first introduction into designing with actual building code. The designs were taken much further and thought about at a higher level as to bring about new ways of thinking in architecture. The idea was to design a urban situation in which some form of occupation could be brought together in the same building as a residential community. The people said to be living in this building would also be the ones working there. Different challenges arose in figuring out the relationship between these two vastly different ideas. Overall, it was a great way to learn the basics of how to design a code compliant building and still maintain an aspiration for forward design thinking.
